Naamia Rivera is a black/hispanic composer and flutist from Brooklyn, NY. They went to Fiorello H. Laguardia for Instrumental Music and they were a student of Music Composition and Flute at The Juilliard School Music Advancement Program. As a composer, they are interested in writing music that is inclusive and accessible, but also addresses the many issues and flaws with today's society. They currently study Flute and Composition with Valerie Coleman at The New School.
